Rev. Doctor William J. Marshall

First Baptist Church East End elected the Rev. Doctor William J. Marshall as its pastor on January 31, 2003. Rev. Marshall retired from the Air Force Chaplaincy in August, 2002. He began his pastorate with the church February 1, 2003.   He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Hampton University in 1979. He received his Master of Divinity degree from Virginia Union University's School of Theology in 1982 and his Doctor of Ministry degree from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D. C in 1993.   Pastor Marshall is a very humble man and prefers to be called Pastor.  He and his wife, Cynthia, reside in the Denbigh area of Newport News, Va. and they have two children, Christopher and Crystal.
